Just wanted to share with everyone the make and takes I did at our online crop this weekend. I am exhausted....it was a lot of work to put together but I left it tonight with a big warm fuzzy feeling!! Lots of inspiration in an on-line crop - if you have never done one, I highly recommend it!
I did 3 make and takes - a shaker card, a pencil box and a purse mini album. Here are the tutorials for each :) If you make one, please send me a link so I can see yours!
PURSE MINI ALBUM
You will need:
1 piece 7 1/4" x 5" patterned paper
2 pieces 12" x 3" patterned paper
Brads, Ribbon, adhesive (double sided works best but you can use whatever you have)
1. Turn the 7 1/4" x 5" so it is horizontally longer. Score at 3 3/8" and 3 7/8"
Then turn it vertically and make a mark at 7/8" from each corner(this is your 5" side) Repeat on the other side. It should look like this:

2. In your papercutter, line up the 7/8" mark and the corner of the closest score line. Now cut off that corner. Repeat with the other three corners. Remember to line up the CLOSEST score line.

4. Cut 1/4" off of each 3" long strip that you have. This just makes it easier to close later.
Put your double sided tape (or whatever you have) to one of the 3" ends on each of the 12"x3" patterned pieces. Tape the first piece so that it lines up with the score line on the right, but the 12"x3" piece is on the left.

8. Use your ribbons, brads, stamps and whatever else you can find to finish the outside of your purse. You can add a picture or journaling to each fold on the accordion. I'm sorry mine is plain jane...it's on my list of things to finish up this week!

VALENTINE'S PENCIL BOX
Perfect to make for school gifts for Valentines or kids birthday parties!!
Dont mind my Halloween pencils, they were all I could find!!!!

1. To start, you'll need a piece of cardstock that is 6 3/8" x 3 5/8". As you can see by the picture, you will want the long side going up and down (so it is tall). Score it at the following intervals: 3/8", 1 5/8", 2", 3 1/4". Then turn the c.s. 90 degrees (so it is wide) and score just one end at 3/8". On the end where you just scored, make a cut on each of those score lines, just until the next scored line. This will create little "flaps". I cut one of the end flaps off, as it is not necessary and just adds bulk.

SHAKER CARD - You will need
*6" x 6" cardstock
*5 1/2 " x 2 1/2" co-ordinating patterned paper
*5 3/4" x 2 3/4" white cardstock
* 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" white cardstock (two of these!)
*pop dots
*your trusty scissors and some patience! ( this can be made way easier with a word window punch by stampin up but we can make do!)
*adhesive - double sided would be good but you can get away with regular
*a cute stamp about 1 or 2 inches square
*a word stamp - happy birthday, bite me or whatever you want it to say!
*some kind of ink to stamp your stamp with and something to colour it if you want it coloured!
* and two pennies
This handy dandy video (shot by me...super high quality....LOL!!) will show you how cool it is!
Take your 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of white cardstock and fold it in half length-wise. Take a ruler and draw a line 1/4 of an inch on one side of it. Fold the cs in half and cut out a box along that line, making sure that your box will not be wider than 1/2 of an inch. This will be your template.

Tape your 5 3/4" x 2 3/4" white cardstock to your piece of 6" x 6" cardstock (that has been scored in half) and then your popdotted pieces on top of that and voila...your beautiful card!

great projects... thanks!
